We hired Aquaguard Systems to install an interior drainage system in early August of this year. Tom was very knowledgeable and very responsive to my many questions and clarifications pre installation (Thanks). Bill and his crew were great and had the system installed in (3) days. Very respectful of property and answered any questions I had. I was still skeptical, however; the day after installation we received 2”+ rain and a few days later a little over 3”. The basement remained DRY. In the 26... years we’ve owned the house, this much rain would have normally flooded the basement. Thanks AquaGuard. I will definitely recommend your company to anyone I know with basement water issues.read more

We noticed a vertical split in our basement where we have an addition, and had a few companies come to give us quotes. We included Aquaguard since they had waterproofed our basement about 3-4 years ago and we were so happy with their work then. Imagine my surprise when the owner himself showed up to check it out, and told me that the piering system that the other companies had recommended is absolutely not necessary.Aquaguard doesn't do piering anymore, he told me (they're amazing for... waterproofing, just FYI!), so he had no stake in the game - but he did urge me to check out the complaints on the BBB about the others, which was indeed very telling. I appreciate Aquaguard and Tom G. so much for their consistency and honesty. I'll call them back anytime, I think this company is great. Our basement and backyard have been free of water or dampness even during the heaviest rains since they finished their work.I'd just like to add that I have no connection to them besides hiring them - this is an honest review from a regular customer in the Pittsburgh area. This is the second time we have used the services of Aguaguard Systems to solve our water problems. The first time was in a 200 year old farmhouse with a stacked stone foundation. The most recent time was in a modern townhouse. Crews were in and out quickly and the jobs were done right. Even though the jobs were 6 years apart, some of the same crew were there both times. We were more than satisfied with the results and highly recommend Aquaguard.

Tom and his guys were great, installed an exterior french drain in 2 days. No more water issues, his professionalism and knowledge is top notch. I highly recommend Aquaguard over any of these companies you see on TV. Pricing is fair and work is fantastic!

Tom and his team at Aquaguard are excellent contractors. They have done two projects at my house and counting, and I could not be happier with the results. Everything looked good but I needed heavy concrete for my garage to keep it from cracking and told me where to go to get the concrete service that I needed. I saw moisture in my basement and had questions about painting the inside of my garage so I requested a walkthrough/quote. Tom arrived on time. We looked at the basement first and he was very quick to talk me through what he saw and the fact that I didn't need his team. The problem was minor and he didn't try to sell me anything. As we continued the walk through he pointed out some additional DIY improvements I could make (sent me a how to video!) and texted me contacts for 2 professionals for... other projects that would prevent moisture in the basement over time. Just a great, honest person/company. I won't hesitate to use Aquaguard in the future or recommend them to friends and family.read more

The Aquaguard team is extremely knowledgeable and friendly to work with especially when you are dealing with water intrusion issues. They were easy to work with and provided a well-designed efficient solution to the drainage issues that caused my basement to flood 3 times within a couple of weeks. They also replaced aged window wells and windows that were overdue for replacement. The work was done neatly and quickly. Highly recommend this team!

If you need a company that does great work at reasonable price, aquaguard is it. Had them put in drain and sump pump 10 years ago. Haven't had one drop of water since then. Workers were great job done in 1 day. No mess for me too clean up they did it all. Now on other side of house water coming in basement. Called aquaguard got a great price and I am going to set a date for work to begin. If you have any problems with water coming in or bowed walls, this is the company to use. We hired Aquaguard to add three egress windows and wells for our basement.Chris provided a great selection of different types of egress windows and wells (ultimately selected casement windows and a square well), and provided general updates to expected start and duration of the project.John and his crew did the actual work, and they took great care to ensure the work did not impact other areas of the house (e.g., kept dust down during cutting through the block wall), and that the work was... done efficiently and well. Any unforeseen problems that arose during the work was well communicated, and any issues that were found to be within John’s purview of being fixed was fixed. An example of this is that one of panes for one of the windows was cracked due to manufacturer error; the window was installed, and then a couple of weeks later, John came back to replace the window. Problems inevitably arise during construction projects, and the way contractors resolve the issues show how important the work is to them; and Aquaguard showed to be meeting their word in the project’s terms and provided great service.I would absolutely recommend Aquaguard for this type of work. I’ve had a pump sump pump in my basement put in by Aquaguard in 1997 and just recently April 12 of this year 2024 it was over whelmed with water the rain we’ve had of historic nature I called when I had the problem and with all the rain and how busy they were man by the name of Tom called me and followed up with a kind, courteous, caring, thoughtful individual who took the time out of his probably very busy day to speak with me Not once but twice and then through texting and pictures assured me... that probably not that big deal but I’m so pleased and blessed to have had him take the time to look into the situation for me while he’s on probably numerous jobs. I live in Hawaii where Aloha is expected and experienced … one of the perks or paradise. I am visiting my aunt in Verona PA who needed waterproofing. I did thorough research and chose AquaGuard Systems. I can write a book about how professional, patient, and pleasant the experience has been. Instead, I will sum it up by saying AquaGuard has been an answer to prayer! From the initial phone call to set the appointment, the free quotation with extremely fair price, the answered questions prior to... the signed agreement, the early (on-time) daily arrival of contractors, every unexpected issue that arose where the contractors communicated effectively AND fixed the issues of the aged property on their dime and time, the contractors kindness as they had to answer questions during the process, the final job left as clean AND neat as possible to a follow up visit after the work had been completed by the owner himself. Tom (the owner) came out to give me a free estimate. He was punctual and professional. He showed me that what I thought was a structural problem was only a superficial problem and gave me tips on how to fix it. Didn't charge me anything. Truly impressive service. If I had had a real problem, I would have trusted them to fix it, based on Tom's professionalism.

We at my church have had them take care of a water issue. The job was done professionally and efficiently. Had to call them back to look at another problem. Identified the issue and did not try to sale me something we did not need. Identified a problem that we can take care of ourselves. Would use them again and refer them. Excellent

i can't praise this company enough. It installed my pump 14 years ago and when I when I had water in my basement for the first time this weekend, I assumed that my pump had failed and was due for a replacement. Wrong! First, Acquaguard appeared promptly with the same serviceman who installed the pump (that already tells you something about the company!). Second, they throughly inspected the system and diagnosed the problem as a failed water pump on a newly installed furnace. Finally, the... guys refused to charge me for the service call. I haven't experienced the professionalism and quality of service of this company in many other companies in my (advanced) years!read more

As is common with renovation projects, we ran into some drainage issues and were immediately referred to Tom Gallagher and Aquaguard Systems by our contractor (Jason of Premier Kitchen and Bath), who had Tom on speed dial. Tom came out right away and assessed the issue and explained in detail the process necessary to fix our problem. Fortunately for us Tom was able to fit us into his busy schedule to avoid delays to our original reno. project. Days later Shawn and his crew were on scene,... immediately started digging up our basement and garage to install French drains and a sump pump. The crew were prompt, courteous, very friendly and extremely professional. Shawn took the time to answer questions and provide updated information along the way. They kept everything as neat and clean as possible considering the process involved. During the job it was determined that out exterior downspouts were not installed properly and options were provided to take care of that matter as well. Upon completion we were shown photos of all work that was done with a final explanation and instructions for the operation of the pump and advised to call at any time with questions or concerns. My wife and I could not be happier with the work Tom and his crew provided and grateful that our contractor recommended Aquaguard!read more

Beyond satisfied with their work. We hired them to do some waterproofing on a rental property and it couldn't have gone better. They were timely, hard working, efficient, and very nice any time we spoke. If we ever need waterproofing work done in the future they will be the first place we look.

Excellent work at a fair price. Owner Tom came to our home and took his time in walking me through the issues and options for a moisture problem in the basement underneath the back side of our home. I especially appreciated that he didn't try to "sell me" on additional work that I suggested as a possibility... instead explained the significant costs and the uncertainty of success with an approach to the issue that I had seen suggested elsewhere. He quoted a fair price and then worked us into... their busy schedule, including moving us up when he had another cancellation. His crew, led by Sean, did good and efficient work. When they discovered an unexpected issue-- not surprising in our 110+ year old home in a historic district-- he took the time to show me the specifics and once again gave me options for dealing with it. Once that decision was made, the work was rescheduled to account for the new requirement and Sean and his expanded team returned and finished the job on the appointed day. All in all, it was work well done at a fair price, and I will recommend Tom and his company to my friends and neighbors when they have similar issues.read more

Tom came out to look at what I thought was water coming into our basement from outside. He was able to tell right away it was an internal plumbing issue. Glad that was the case. If we ever need help with our foundation Aquaguard will be our first call.

AquaGuard did a terrific job rebuilding a ciderblock wall that was failing on the back of my house, including installing a proper footing. The craftmanship was extremely professional. The crew spent the time to make sure the job was done right. With all the digging that was required I was impressed on how clean they left the property when they were finished. We have used Aquaguard twice over the course of 2 years. Once for an egress window and another time for a gutter drainage solution. Tom Gallagher came out to quote both of the jobs and he was very polite, personable, professional and knowledgeable. Both times he looked everything over and was honest with me about the pros/cons of the work I was asking for. But he never tried to upsell me for things I did not need, he was even happy to explain to me how to do the work myself, if I wanted. I cant... remember who our crew was for the egress window, but this most recent time we had Shawn, Clyde and Aaron. They were great to work with and had the job done in 1 day, when we were estimated 1-3 days. Overall I can't recommend Aquaguard enough, there is a reason we keep going back to them!read more

We had a great experience with Aquaguard and I have no hesitation recommending them to anyone who is experiencing water issues in their home. In fact, I have already recommended them to two of my neighbors. I received a very prompt response to my inquiry and Chris came to my home within a few days to meet with me and discuss our issue. He took a great deal of time with me, explaining what was happening as well as the recommended solution. He answered all of my questions, and showed me pictures... of other work the company has done. Going into our repair, I felt so confident and knowledgeable. On the day of our repair, the crew showed up on time and were very professional. We had a very positive experience with Aquaguard. Lynsey was quick to get us scheduled for an assessment. Chris came out the next week, assessed the situation, and gave us his recommendation. I cant say enough great things about this company! I needed my foundation wall rebuilt due to a previous company installing straps wrong that ended up causing a tremendous amount of bowing in the wall. Tom the owner came out the next day and provided me with a detailed plan. He was very meticulous and detailed which I loved because other companies I called were not. He told me what materials they would use, which were quality grade products and explained what would be done. They rebuilt the... wall, waterproofed it, installed a french drain and graded the front and rear yard. They started a few weeks after meeting with Tom and got done in little over a week. All of the workers were amazing. Tom was great staying in contact and making sure everything was going well. He stopped by numerous times to check on the project. Lynsey and Paula were amazing with contacting me throughout the project and keeping in touch about any delays or etc. Paula helped me a lot with different financial options as well. The foreman father and son John were also great. They did quality work, cleaned up after themselves and asked throughout the project if there was anything I would like done with certain plants or rocks that were on the part where they needed to dig. This company nit only does great work but they are a very compassionate caring and accommodating company. You can tell they have integrity and take pride in their company. Great experience overall with Aquaguard. We were frequently contacted by the office for schedule changes due to weather and reminders of the upcoming project. The work was carried out exactly as stated during the proposal process. Casey, the foreman, took the time to pause the project during different phases so that I could come observe and take pictures along the way. The staff were knowledgeable and the project team members answered my questions thoughtfully.

AquaGuard was professional and did a great job installing our downspouts. Lynsey is courteous and helpful! The foreman did a nice job explaining and reviewing the work completed. After digging, the workers replaced our ground and grass over the piping seamlessly, so you cannot even tell that work was done in the yard.

Tom and his office staff did a good job arranging and meeting our project deadline, Shawn and his crew did a fine job on the installation side of the interior French drain…. Showed up on time and worked conscientiously and continuously throughout the project, we were initially given a 5-8 day timeline(a fairly large job)and they finished in 5 ……I’m actually looking forward to the next heavy rain and staying dry😊

Shawn and crew did a great job. The team showed up at scheduled time (they even called if they were going to be a couple minutes late due to traffic), worked throughout the day with what appeared to be very little to no breaks which is a testament in itself with the level of laborious work it was and all were extremely polite and willing to take the time to answer any questions that arose. I would definitely recommend AquaGuard for basement waterproofing projects.

Despite my project being small, they were very informative of what they could do for my home and wanted to help. Many companies did not want a small project. Our backyard would flood when it rained and we have two dogs that truly love playing in the yard. We would have to wait days until the rained stopped because of the flooding issues. AquaGuard came in and installed a drain line. First prognosis is it looked like it has worked but we won't actually know until the rains stop (lol). However, our dogs was able to enjoy playing in the yard after it was finished and the rain stopped.The crew that came here to do the work was nothing less than... professional. Great experience with them waterproofing our 100+ year-old-basement. They gave us their expert advice but also listened to our suggested adjustments to the solution, something many contractors won't do. They did a great job, cleaned up after themselves (also something some contractors fall down on), and were both timely and quick. Recommended

AquaGuard came out to install a drain in my back yard where an underground spring had caused the yard to be a swamp. The crew was on time, very communicative on what they were doing, keeping us posted with the ongoing work. Very courteous and polite. They completed the job and left the yard immaculate. You would not even know it was dug up. Excellent job.
